It’s official! Finally, after 1 year 2 months (or 427 days or 2,360 hours) of training, Justin is FINISHED! It has been quite a year and 2 months. I am so proud and encouraged by his hard work and perseverance each step of the process. He has endured sleeplessness, pepper spray, tazing, crazy people, getting married and engaged, and moving not just once, not twice but THREE times all in the midst of his training. It has been a time of physical and mental drainage day in and day out, being graded on his work every day. So, needless to say, we are rejoicing that the training is now over. Though it was long and grueling, it has better prepared him for his job. Similarly, we all grow through seasons in life that seem more grueling, through which the Lord is preparing us for a day that we don’t see yet.
God is shaping and preparing us all the time for the things He will call us to do. He uses our experience to prepare and train and as Tim Keller says in Galatians For You, “All opposition to God will be seen in the end as having done nothing but confirm and further His design.” Through the gospel we can see and view our lives as “God preparing and shaping us to become vessels of His grace in the world.”
Needless to say, the Gladneys are beyond THRILLED and REJOICING that this time has come as it allows Justin to take vacation and be more flexible with work and Lord willing see and experience some fruit of the labor!!!!!!!!!!
